Over 170 third, fourth, and fifth graders from across Georgia entered colorful
drawings showing why Georgia's longleaf pine ecosystem should be
protected. It was a tough decision, but the voting is complete and
the winner was Halley Russell of Mt. Airy. For the first time, there
was a tie for second place between Kirstin Boe of Lilburn and Tanner
Snellgrove of Newnan. Third place honors went to Erik Fathke of
Alpharetta. The winning artwork will be used in this year's Georgia
Conservancy hand fan, which is distributed at Georgia Conservancy
events statewide.
The Georgia Conservancy extends a big congratulations to the winners!
